Compassion Joys: February

On this last day of February, I'm linking up with Compassion Family and am looking back over the month and considering all my Compassion Joys!

Letters ~ we received 10 letters this month!

Birthdays ~ we celebrated 4 birthdays!

Selam turned 16 on February 7.

Ndikubwimana turned 8 on February 11.

Christiana turned 13 on February 12.

And Japhet turned 13 on February 26.

Photo Update

We received a photo update of 5-year-old Estela in Brazil! Doesn't she look so much older in the new photo?

Gifts Sent

We were blessed with the opportunity to send goodies for both Julissa and Marlon with a fellow sponsor who's going to Nicaragua! For Julissa, I sent a beautiful shawl, a small pony, a pretty notebook, a pack of colored pencils, some candy, some fun colored socks and some fun hair accessories! And for Marlon, I sent an Ironman t-shirt, a notebook, a pack of colored pencils, Uno and small bag with matchbox cars for him and his brothers and ponies for his sisters.


It is such a blessing to have generous offers to send gifts to our kids!

    Estela looks so much older! She's so cute! And it's so great you were able to send gifts to Julissa and Marlon! Maybe by the end of the year, you'll have been able to send gifts to all your kids! : )

      I love her serious expression!! Maybe someday she'll smile, though. That would be so neat if we could send gifts to all our kids by the end of the year…maybe you will too!!

    I got a new photo of my precious Dafyne from BR-417 this month too. She also looks quite different. It's amazing how much they grow and change during those early childhood years. They really seem to just shoot right up.
