My name is Livia Montalvan F. I am the pastor the Nazarene Church in Chongoyape where the Creciendo en Gracias Child Development Center works. This center is located in the district of Chongoyape, province of Chiclayo, department of Lambayeque in Peru.

Thank God, we have the privilege and great blessing to have the center Growing in Grace that services over 200 children. As Mother Teresa said, "a small drop of love in an ocean of tears."
The social impact we have is just as our Lord Jesus did for the ones in great need. This impact is manifested those who do not have a voice, those anonymous and forgotten human, the children. Many times the real benefit we offer may never be known, as I said we may heal with a shadow, because we do not want to get the glory but God.
This year, we are doing some efforts with the local government and God willing, we will be able to expand our building in order to reach more children in need. Our local authorities know that work we do with the children. This impact will be so helpful and beneficial to everyone.
The experience the staff have gained in the center is helping them and training them to be better prepared for their future. The children identify with the center because they have found in it their favorite restaurant, a sweet home, and their best school and church. We give them opportunities to be someone in life and to be loved. The children recognize the their tutors care for them. Many times, they do not feel appreciated at home or school.
Regarding the correspondence, in the last year, we got about 200 letters. The children tell their sponsors in their letters about their parents and their work, what they do as a family, the activities at church and some personal difficulties. The children also ask their sponsors to help them pray for the difficult situations they go through, developing a closer relationship with the child. The sponsors also encourage their children to pray and develop spiritual habits. We encourage you to do this and if you have not done it, it is never late to start. You wil see that your efforts will bring fruit. You will see that what you sow today, God will give you the privilege to harvest later with your loved ones. Please write to Nelci often. More than an expensive gift, she need words of love because nobody else will do it.
I ask you and encourage you to please, help us to pray for each one of our children. Pray that each one of them have an open heart to God's voice. Pray for the tutors so they can bless the soul, mind and spirit of the children. Finally, help us pray for our beloved children that we are able to expend out building so we can serve more children.
Our prayer is that the blessing that God provides through you never cease. Thank you for the commitment to be the generous hands of God in this earth. Thank you for fulfilling the dream of an organization that was born in the heart of God.

Janet lives with her father and her mother. Her duties at home include running errands. Her father is sometimes employed as a laborer and her mother maintains the home.
As part of Compassion's ministry, Janet participates in church activities. She is also in kindergarten where her performance is average. Playing with dolls is her favorite activity.
