Lydia in Uganda

We began corresponding with Lydia in March 2018. I will update this post as we hear from her.


We not have received any letters from Lydia, but we do have a country director's letter. Her birthday is May 15.

Project Info and Activities:

Lydia attends UG-418 near Luwero
* Home to approximately 18,300 residents
* Most common work is work is subsistence farming, although majority is unemployed
* Average earning is $4 a month
* Regional Diet: maize, beans, bananas, cassava & potatoes
* Common Health Problems: malaria, intestinal worms, HIV/AIDS, skin infections
* Typical Houses: dirt floors, mud walls, corrugated iron roofs

Center Activities: Bible studies, health screenings, health education, first-aid training, de-worming, recreational activities, community service opportunities, skills training, counseling, school fees, a mattress and soap.
