Featured Post & Compassion App

Last year I did Step Into My Shoes with Juanito. I took 10 weeks and shared about the experience on the Compassion Family blog. (Here's the link to the 10th week and at the bottom all the other weeks are linked up.)

And yesterday one of my posts was shared on the Step Into My Shoes Blog! I was so excited when I saw the A Mom and Her Preschooler Step Into African Shoes post!

I also wanted to share what I found on the Compassion App! First, a disclaimer…the app is not perfect and is clearly a work in progress. BUT if you have a smartphone, you might enjoy some of the features. Here are my two favorite things about it…

1) The project photos! Not all the kids have project photos, but a number do and it is so neat to see what the project looks like!

2) The crisis reports and messages from the child's local Compassion center! Again, these aren't available for all the kids, but if you scroll down on your child's photo, you can see pertinent articles (this is where crisis reports are shared).

And at the very bottom, some of the kids have link titled "Message from your Sponsored Child's Local Compassion Center." I have not read most of these and hope to share them on the blog eventually!
